Heading into the holidays, we typically see buying and selling activity decrease, but I want to talk about the benefits of selling during the holidays. Here’s why you should take advantage of this season:
- Serious buyers. When you’re selling during the holidays, you have more serious buyers. Other buyers are out having holiday parties and traveling. They don’t want to move in the winter, so you’re left with more serious buyers.
- Less competition. There is less inventory during the winter because there are fewer sellers that want to make that transition or have continuous showings during the holidays. Less inventory to worry about helps sellers get fantastic deals.
- Cozy atmosphere. During the holidays, homes have a festive atmosphere that’s very attractive to buyers. Make sure to set up your Christmas tree, and consider baking right before a showing.
